I have to confess that I do a lot of shopping on Etsy. I just love finding something that no one else will have and I love making friends with the artisans behind the products I buy. Best of all, when my boyfriend starts asking questions as to why I’m receiving so many packages in the mail, I can throw him the line “It is my ethical duty to support fellow handmade artisans”: that usually shuts him up! (love you, honey!)

So here’s my newest acquisition, a beautiful dress from Lirola, in all its glory on me! Please note how it flatters my curves (baby bearing hips, but I’ve had no babies yet!). What do you think?

Vogue Paris’ 90th Anniversary Party (15 photos) – My Modern Metropolis.

So, I feel like I am probably the only one who has just discovered Vogue‘s online lightboxes. A lightbox is where you can organize your favorite looks from collections featured on Vogue and to share these faves with the online Vogue community. I went over there yesterday to lust over spring 2011 runway collections that have been animating the runways of Milan.
