A personal update: I’m feeling kinda sick today, boo. I really want to keep working on my specimens line (due out this Monday!) but I am so tired!

The other day on my facebook fanpage, I asked you guys what you wanted to see more of from Markhed. The answer that I heard loud and clear was more dark and creepy! When I am creating, I like to play and try out many ideas, which is why, when you look my shop, you can find a lot of different ideas going on. It’s best, I find, to play out some ideas all the way to the end . Because if I don’t, it just sticks around my head and bugs me. It’s almost like it keeps saying: “hey, hey, try me, try me”. It can get annoying. Lately I’ve been following my polygonal ideas, and I plan to continue that exploration, but to also keep working on some creepy and dark pieces, because ultimately, that’s where my heart lies.

Just wanted to explain my creative process a bit to you all, just in case you were wondering.

I’ve decided to simplify my sales this weekend at my etsy shop so that everyone can have an equal chance to own a unique handmade piece made by me. The sale price will automatically be adjusted on Etsy, their times will be the following:

Here in Montreal, our Thanksgiving has been long past, a whole month. Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving, Nov. 25th 2010) is something that I was unfamiliar with until last year, when I was living in Portland Oregon. In the US, Black Friday kicks off the holiday shopping season. It is traditionally when shops have great sales to entice holiday shoppers.

It can also be a huge headache to go to the mall that day! SO I am joining the fun and offering a great one day only black Friday sale, and guess what?

You don’t even need to LEAVE THE HOUSE! HEE HAW!
